Grandma Left a Comment

[Note: for family/friends who have seen this at Beckett-to-Be's blog, yes...it's the same post. For the rest of you who have come this way, this cartoon that I just learned of is priceless!]

Being5_1By the time Beckett-to-Be actually can blog by himself, he'll most certainly wonder what all the hype is about.  Today they talk about 'digital natives' (anyone born in the digital age) vs. 'digital immigrants' (the rest of us who have to 'translate' what we mean into this new fangled technology business -- i.e. typing means keyboarding, journaling means blogging, et al).  Tomorrow?  Heck, who knows.

In any event, I just discovered the following blog-based cartoon called "Being Five" that centers on a 5 year old who is blogging via voice recognition software.  Delightful business, this.  Can imagine a similar effort on this end.  Napkin scribbles.  Couple of simple panels.  Beckett-to-Be moments.  We'll see.

In the meantime, however, this one made me smile.  Going to be a race to see which grandmother is the first to figure out how to leave a comment in the blog (hint, hint, he smiles).  Sending an email -- while a better alternative than nothing at all -- doesn't count.  Has to be a true comment.  Posted in the blog.

On your mark, get set,....go!
