The Irony of an Unexpected 'Snowday' in Texas
Wasn't sure my ears were hearing the Upper School Principal's announcement correctly this afternoon shortly after eating lunch in the faculty room.
Apparently they were gonna play it safe. Send all the kids & teachers home at 1:15pm, several hours before car pool normally arrives. Ice on the roads? Snow a possibility? Even if all you saw was rain. Cold rain, but still just rain.
The irony?
Flowers blooming all over the place. And now I have to drive on dangerous -- you know: Texas Drivers Ice Capades in full effect -- just to go get my kiddo at daycare so that he gets home before the really bad weather (& drivers) arrives.

And offered to take stranded students home but only one accompanied him...
A.K.A. me...
so yeah we had winter and summer, short fall, but no spring.
well back to homework assigned by a certain English teacher/ anime club sponsor
