New friend Shelley Batts who just returned from visiting her family in China for the recent holidays just showed me something kind of cool she put together to help students/families find the oft-difficult-to-find grants that make the 'going to' part of college potentially within reach.
The document is called "101 College Grants You've Never Heard Of". And the more that I am convinced that too many families and students are signing away their financial future in the frenzy to get into college at all costs, a tool like this makes me believe that good choices can still be made ont the front end.
And if you like this, check out her scholarship-based (and all-around how to get in and do well in college) blog. And if that fuels your curiosity, she'll really blow your mind when you see her Ph.D. (Univ. of Michigan) blog work in scientific realms that show me how little I actually know and also makes my brain hurt.
