I really like your idea of sustained communication in a Beta-format. After all, no idea is every fully finalized unless it's absolute fact. (As a non-mathematician the only thing that I can think of that is absolute fact is basic arithmetic. Which, I can't imagine too many people are blogging about.) Here's one problem with your suggestion: time. Sometimes I read so many posts and post so many comments that I lose track of where I've posted. Then, I'll find out a few days later that somebody actually responded to my comment. I'm sure there have been other times when I don't even know that somebody's respnded to my comment. Any suggestions?
