These different interpretations of the same data indicate that data can ofte mean whatever the researchers interpreting them say they mean. Readers must remember that researchers use data to support their own goals. Consequently, readers must always bring a certain amount of skepticism to data analysis. With regards to schools, I agree, all students deserve to have the highest quality educations. When we stop arguing over what schools are better and begin dialoguing about how to improve education over all, we'll do everybody a great favor.
