Sounds a lot like Lehman. He's one of the best framers of questions I've encountered. In good company with Mr. Long.

Sorry, we can't do that in class. The standardized tests ask for answers, not questions. :-)

The process of learning to craft good questions is also the subject of Jamie McKenzie's new book. I haven't read it yet but the first couple of chapters are on line (http://fno.org/qwl/qwl.html ) and that excerpt is not bad.
